New Children's Commission in key speaker at leading charity's National conference
The new Children’s Commissioner, Professor Al Aynsley-Green is one of the key speakers at the conference of the leading charity, 4Children, Creating Opportunities, Building Futures to be held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London on 17-18 March 2005.
Professor Aynsley-Green will be taking part in the two-day policy debate which provides an ideal opportunity to reflect on the achievements for families and children from the government’s increased financial commitment to families to the introduction of children’s centre in communities and extended schools. The Children’s Commissioner, who is currently the National Clinical Director for Children at the Department of Health, will be speaking on the National Service Framework for Children and Maternity Services, of which he played a key part in drawing up whilst at the Department of Health. Professor Aynsley-Green will be joined by the Rt. Hon. Margaret Hodge MP, Minister for Children, Young People and Families and Matthew Taylor, Chief Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street. Anne Longfield, Chief Executive said, “We are delighted that Professor Aynsley-Green is joining us for the conference which is being staged at a pivotal time for families and children with the forthcoming election making them a central policy for all politicians and political parties across the spectrum”.
